Mobile Health Clinic

The primary objective of our healthcare initiative is to enhance community health and minimize disease occurrences by delivering prompt and improved access to diagnostic healthcare facilities via our Mobile Medical Unit (MMU). Our overarching goal is to boost people’s health confidence and overall well-being. As a testament to our efforts, we have provided support to 10,224 beneficiaries through the utilization of MMU, OPD services, and Health Camps.

Sakshi, in partnership with Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), is implementing a comprehensive health project across two states- Maharashtra and Punjab. This initiative is currently in its 4th year of operation and focuses on improving healthcare access in rural communities.

Project Locations

  • Maharashtra: Ratnagiri District, Chiplun Taluka (covering 30 Villages)
  • Punjab: Rajpura, District, Patiala (covering 31 Villages)
  • The project operates on a 7-day-a-week schedule to ensure consistent healthcare services.
  • Every Sunday, an Outpatient Department (OPD) operates at our dedicated Prabhat HealthCare Centre
  • A Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) visits the selected villages daily, providing primary healthcare services.
  • Free Medicines and Consultation for six days each week to patients in the villages.
  • Prabhat Health Centre is open for OPD on Sunday
  • Qualified MBBS doctors, Pharmacists, Nurse have been hired to deliver essential treatments and healthcare guidance at both locations.
  • A monthly thematic health camp is organized, inviting specialist doctors from outside to address specific health issues.
  • Patients with major illnesses are referred to government hospitals for advanced treatment.
  • The project includes a three-month follow-up system to ensure continuity of care and recovery.

Apart from medicinal health services, we also provide WASH Program for Hygiene and sanitation to rural communities.

  • Strong collaboration with local stakeholders such as Sarpanches (village heads) and ASHA workers is a cornerstone of the project.
  • The project is implemented in partnership with government health departments, ensuring alignment with public health policies.
  • Focus areas include both health awareness and disease prevention, empowering communities with knowledge and resources to maintain good health.
  • Over 48000 patients per year have received free medical treatment through this initiative.
  • Significant improvements have been observed in health outcomes, community trust, and health-seeking behaviour.
  • The program continues to serve as a model for community-led, preventive healthcare in rural settings.
