This Skill Development project is dedicated to providing job-oriented livelihood training support to marginalized communities, offering a comprehensive and practical skill development course tailored towards securing 100% job placement. In December 2020, Rio Tinto & PNB Housing had joined hands with Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) India to provide financial support to Sakshi NGO for Livelihood Support Project for underprivileged communities. A resource and training centre was established in Village Dundahera, Gurugram which provided support to the underprivileged community for two years. The project supported poverty reductio n to migrant workers, by promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities for them.
This project supported underprivileged individuals who are engaged in / willing to start their career in garment industries as an income generation activity. The all beneficiaries were trained in Sewing Machine Operator course which was 30 days long. After completion of the course the beneficiaries were placed in export companies. The course helped people to increase their income to support their families. These projects was initiated in December 2020, and so far were trained and placed 636 beneficiaries in phase 1st & 2nd from December 2020 to November 2022. The
beneficiaries were from diverse geographic and underprivileged communities.
As per the data, we have achieved a milestone. For T&F Course, A total of 1st to 24th Batches were completed in First & Second Phase in which a total
of 651 beneficiaries were enrolled and 636 beneficiaries were graduated and placed successfully. For Mobile repairing a total of 20 beneficiaries were enrolled in which 19 were placed.
The placement rate was 95% and our students promised to perform very well at their workplaces and they all were placed at various export companies.
