Sakshi made a remarkable effort in enhancing the nutritional value and improving the health status of children in the project locations. On a daily basis, Sakshi distributed nutritional food items Jaggery, Dryfruits, Cheak peas, Fruits, etc to 2,000 children per day per month, which covering of
more than 3,50,000 children in a year. The project has been implemented in 5 government schools. To track progress, Sakshi diligently maintained monthly records of the children. Progress was measured based on height and weight parameters, reflecting the positive impact of her initiatives.
Impacts: The findings from the impact assessment survey are mentioned below –
I. As per the Principal and Head Teacher of the two schools there has certainly a drop in the dropout rate of students in the schools
II. The attendance had improved during the year 2022-23 in comparison to last years.
III. 87% children health conditions have improved. Drop in the number of children falling sick in last six months.
IV. 78% reported that their family members are aware about good WASH practices.
