Personal Hygiene Program for Girls

The Personal Hygiene Awareness Program is a collaborative initiative by Lumax Charitable Foundation, implemented by Sakshi. This program is currently being conducted in 26 government schools across Haryana, Gujarat, and Pune (Maharashtra), focusing specifically on adolescent girls.

To promote awareness and build healthy habits around menstrual hygiene and personal care, ensuring that school-going girls are informed, confident, and able to manage their health effectively.

  • Awareness Sessions:
    Interactive and age-appropriate sessions are organized to educate girls on:

    • Menstrual hygiene and its importance
    • Correct usage and benefits of sanitary pads
    • Common myths and facts related to menstruation
    • Prevention of infections through proper hygiene
    • Safe and eco-friendly disposal methods of used pads
  • Sanitary Pad Distribution:
    Girls receive free sanitary pads to promote regular usage and remove financial barriers to access.
  • Safe Disposal Training:
    • Participants are trained in safe disposal practices to ensure personal health and environmental safety.
